evia renovated house at Eretria

Eretria is an attractivel coastal resort on the west coast of Evia. It has a full range of shopping facilities and services which are within walking distance of the villa.  There is also a wide selection of swimming beaches. It is less than an hours drive from Athens International airport to the ferry at Oropos.

Evia is the second largest of the Greek islands and not having an airport of its own, it has retained its traditional Greek character and atmosphere. Despite lack of an airport, Evia it is well served by ferries and there are regular sailings to Eretria every half hour from Oropos on the mainland which  is only 73 kms kms from Athens international airport most of it by motorway. At Halkida there is a road bridge connecting Evia to the mainand, making Evia an island where one can never be cut off by bad weather.

Evia enjoys majestic mountain and coastal scenery with many small bays and coves which are never busy even in the height of summer. In its many mountain villages, traditional Greek life seems to have continued unchanged for decades.
