It starts at Mount Olympos in the north and stretches down almost to Attika in the south. The region is completely unspoilt, pretty villages with their own individual architecture and beautiful old churches.</p>
<p>Lush forests and mountains, a network of paths for walking and trekking, are just some of the features of this beautiful region. Others include the oldest and largest plane tree in Europe, the deepest gorge in the region and a stunning coastline.  It offers an idyllic location for trekking on horseback, mountain biking and walking and swimming.  In winter the ski slopes of the Pelion ski centre are only a 40 minute drive away.</p>
